Glitter Words

Poto shared her eBook about communication at school assembly on Friday 4 July.  The children really enjoyed seeing the photos of her facial expressions!  Well done Poto!


The juniors sang their 'parts of the body' song.

HOW DOGS AND CATS COMMUNICATE BY PELEKATA



                                      


Dogs and cats are similar in some ways.Dogs show they are happy by wagging their tails.Cat show they are happy by purring.



Dogs show they are angry by showing their teeth and growling.

Cats show they are angry by hissing and growling.


In conclusion  dogs and cats growl when they are angry. However dogs wag their tails when they are happy but cats wag their tails when they are angry.

Dogs and cats are similar in some ways.

Dogs show they are happy by wagging their tails.

We can tell that a cat is angry when they wag their tails. A Cat gets angry if you don't leave their tails alone.



When dogs are angry they growl,they try and catch you and bite you. You have to turn into a tree or a rock.

Dogs show they are happy by wagging  their tails and showing their teeth and tongues.

We can tell that cats are angry by wagging their tails and showing teeth and tongue.

We can tell that a cat is happy when we see it is not wagging its tail.  Happy cats purr.


When dogs are angry they show their teeth but not their tongues. Their ears stand up and they bark.


Angry cats show their tails wagging. When cats are angry don't touch them because they might scratch you.  


In conclusion,dogs and cats are both mammals and carnivores or meat eaters. Dogs and cats fight together but they are different in the way they use their tails.

Dogs and cats are similar in some  ways.They are both mammals.They are both carnivores(meat eaters), and they have fur.


Dogs show they are happy by wagging their tails, jumping up and down and they show their tongues.


We can tell that a cat is happy when we  hear her or him purring.  Sometimes they like to play with string.

When dogs are angry they show their teeth not their tongues.


Angry cats wag their tails and their hackles stand up when they are angry.

Dogs and cats are similar in many ways. They both are mammals (they feed their babies milk). They are carnivorous or meat eaters.  
Dogs show they are happy  by showing their tongues and by wagging their tails. They might jump up and down that shows that they are happy.


We can tell that a cat is happy when we pat its fur it starts to purr inside its mouth.  It might push its legs. That is what they did when they were babies.

Dogs show they are angry when they show their teeth and growl. They keep their tongues inside their mouth. A dog might bite you when it is angry.


Angry cats show they are angry when they  raise their hackles on their backs. If a cat sees another cat for the first time  they might fight to see who the boss.  One might run away.


In conclusion dogs and cats are similar in many ways.  These animals are social animals.  It is  important that you read these messages.

We have been learning how to compare the ways cats and dogs communicate. Please read our explanations.

How Dogs and Cats Communicate


Dogs and cats are similar in some ways. They are both mammals, they are both carnivores and they both have tails.

Dogs show they are happy by wagging their tails, jumping up and down and they show their tongues.  Angry cats growl.

When dogs are angry they do not put their tongues out but they do show  their teeth. We can tell a cat is happy when we hear her purring.They want to find out who is the boss. Sometime they both scratch. We need to read these message.
In Conclusion, dogs and cats are similar  in many ways but wagging tails show a dog when it is happy and its shows a cat when it is angry.
